Nintendo Drive FAQs

So you’ve stumbled upon a little site called NintendoDrive.com and are wondering, “What does that mean?" Is it a street name? (We sure hope so.) Do they only play Mario Kart? (No, but definitely an unhealthy amount.) Are they just really motivated to write about Nintendo? (You betcha.) Now, whether you’re still curious about what Nintendo Drive is or are just really bored at work and have already read everything else on the Internet, take a look at the brief Q&A below. (Note: We asked ourselves these questions… how depressing.)

Q: What is Nintendo Drive?
A: In a nutshell, we’re a pit stop for Nintendo news, reviews, countdowns, and more. Now, there are only two of us, so we won’t be covering every story or reviewing every game, but we hope to provide you with a steady stream of content to keep you entertained and informed.

Q: And what sort of content will you be providing?
A: On the website, you’ll mostly find our written and video reviews, editorial pieces, and countdowns. The news will mostly come from our
Twitter feed, which is conveniently embedded on the right side of our website.

Q: I’ve noticed that the written and video reviews are a little different… what’s that about?
A: An astute observation, faithful reader. Basically, the written reviews are our attempt to provide a somewhat professional take on the games we play. The videos, on the other hand, are meant to be quick, (hopefully) humorous versions of our thoughts, full of inside Nintendo jokes and pop-culture references. And terrible puns, ob-Wii-U-sly.

Q: You seem to give these games fairly high scores… what’s up with that?
A: Well, as we mentioned earlier, there are only two of us, so we have to budget our time when it comes to the games we play and review. Plus, like you, we have to buy all of our own games, so we try to spend our money on the best releases. You can expect Superman 64: II to get a bad review if it ever gets made, though.

Q: These games are, like, old…why are you are reviewing them now?

A: You see, we came up with the idea for Nintendo Drive way back in January of 2014, so naturally we started reviewing the games we were playing at the time. Unfortunately, work, life, Bowser, etc. delayed our launch until August, so we have a whole backlog of old reviews to post to the site. Luckily, Nintendo has decided to publish one game every four months, so catching up shouldn’t be a problem.

Q: I love you! How else can I follow Nintendo Drive?
A: Aww, we love you, too. Good news! You can follow us on
Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Tumblr, Instagram (complete with artsy, filtered pictures of Goombas), and even Google+, which we’re not sure if anybody actually uses.
